Abstract

The realization of the three growth areas prioritized by the 2020 Strategy—intelligent, inclusive, and sustainable—is impossible without the substantial contribution of human capital, which comprises the worth, expertise, and competencies of individuals. Without a robust education and training system, extensive knowledge dissemination in the manufacturing services sector, the creative industries, and substantial endeavors to establish a research-intensive economy, it is implausible that these objectives could be achieved. The article utilized a panel methodology to illuminate the relationship between human capital and growth, arguing that countries' insufficient investment in human capital should have repercussions on their capacity for sustainable development.
